On August 19, 2009, the 1450 mm sheet strip CSM of Tangshan Fengnan Cold Rolling & Galvanizing Co., Ltd. undertaken by CISDI on EPC basis with overall technical responsibility was formally on production.

The project consists of one set of CPL-TCM line(featuring turbulent pickling, five-stand six-high tandem mill, dual pay-off reels, flash welder, tension leveler scale breaker, twin-tower rotary shear and Carousel coiler); one set of continuous annealing line and one set of continuous hot dip galvanizing line, designed to produce cold rolled sheets and galvanized sheets for domestic and building application.

CISDI has undertaken the project on EPC basis with overall technical responsibility including registration approval, feasibility study, basic design, detail design, equipment supply, equipment manufacture supervision, installation, software programming and commissioning, test run and final acceptance test for the whole project.

In China, this is the first time that a domestic engineering company has independently undertaken such a project involving high technology content, marking a breakthrough in the foreign monopoly of the technical field of CPL-TCM Coupling Lines. As an independent innovation in the cold-rolling industry, this success symbolizes a significant progress achieved by Chinese enterprises in terms of design, manufacturing and production technologies that are essential for the development of CPL-TCM Coupling Lines and also in terms of the localization of large-scaled modern equipment manufacturing technology.
