CISDI research project entitled “Dry Electrostatic Process for LDG Dedusting” was concluded on Oct. 28, 2012. CISDI has developed proprietary LDG dry electrostatic dedusting system integration technology, which has been verified in LDG primary dry dedusting system in Chongqing Steel, with its technical data reaching the world level.
CISDI has made great efforts in LDG primary dry dedusting study, and has made some achievements in explosion protection, system control and energy-efficiency & emission reduction. It has developed proprietary technologies including constant-pressure & variable-flow temperature control technology, evaporative cooling simulation technology, dedusting efficiency optimization technology for non-smelting stage, low-flaring operation model technology, differential-pressure recovery control technology, which have been applied in over fifteen BOF systems in Chongqing Steel, Hanzhong Steel, Meishan Steel, Taiyuan Steel and Bayi Nanjiang Steel, etc, with technical data reaching the world leading level.
Compared with the conventional wet dedusting process, the dry process features low water and power consumption, good cleaning performance and high calorific value of recovered gas. Taking one 210t BOF for example, the dry process can save the power consumption by 6 million KWh , water consumption by 150,000m3, recover gas of app. 200 million m3 and reduce dust emission by over 30t.
