The primary dry dedusting system for 3x180t duplex converters supplied by CISDI in EPC mode for Chongqing Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. was officially started up in January 2010, marking the completion of EPC-supplied dry dedusting project for largest converter in China.

Compared with the conventional wet dedusting process, dry dedusting process features less water and electricity consumption, better dedusting efficiency and higher gas recovery calorie.

The project is estimated to reduce electricity consumption by app. 1800 x104 kilowatt/a, water consumption by app. 4,500,000m3/a and dust emission by app. 90t, and to recover LDG of app. 0.6 billion cubic meter, contributing to environmental friendliness, energy efficiency and economic benefit.

The completion and startup of the project marks the substantial breakthrough of CISDI in primary dry dedusting field, setting solid foundation for better service of CISDI for steelmakers.
