The steelmaking project was started on September 1, 2008, implemented with several CISDI patented technologies, for converter, hot metal handling without reladling, duplex steelmaking, primary dry dedusting, SACS converter, converter sub-lance, KR de-S technologies, dry-type vacuum system RH device; for CCM, such patented technologies as vertical bending, continuous bending, continuous straightening , dynamic secondary cooling model, air-mist cooling automatic control, optimal cutting model, slab quality judging model, multi-functional titling 3° ladle turret, mould liquid level automatic control, soft reduction technology, remote online roller-gap adjustment, mould break-out prediction system, ladle slag detector, continuous liquid steel temperature measurement in tundish, charging dummy bar and deburring machine, etc. were applied.

 

The startup of two converters and CCM marks the completion of 2mt/a system in the first step of Phase I for Chongqing Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. The phase I is expected to be completed at the end of 2010, developing into 6.50Mt/a capacity.
